Saturday Clinic
Our Saturday clinic is for emergent sickness only. This clinic is not for chronic problems. If symptoms have been ongoing for several days this should be addressed during weekday office hours.

Cancellations
If you need to cancel a scheduled appointment, please notify our office 24 hours in advance in order to accommodate patients who are on a waiting list for an earlier appointment.

No Shows
Appointments missed or cancelled less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled time are considered no-show appointments. Our office policy is to allow one free per family and then a charge of $25 will be applied for future no show appointments.

Late Policy
If you are going to be more than 15 minutes late, call our office so we can reschedule your appointment for a more convenient time.

Sick Appointments
Sick appointments are scheduled on the same day. During peak flu season, it may be necessary to have you speak with a nurse so that your child’s symptoms can be evaluated to assure that the children need to be seen more urgently can be accommodated.

Well Visits
We recommend scheduling well visit appointments 1 -2 weeks in advance. This assures your child will have their well visit and immunizations on time.

After Hours
After hours, our phones are answered by an answering service. If for some reason, you are not automatically connected to them when you call our office you can reach them directly at 972-566-8207. We have a physician on call 7 days a week for emergencies only. You can choose to speak to an experienced pediatric nurse that can provide you with medical advice until your child can be seen the next day, or you can choose to have the doctor on call paged directly.

Medical Records/Shot Records /School Forms
Our office has 15 business days to release your child’s medical records. Please give our office 48-72 hours for immunization records and 5-7 business days for your school records, camp forms and sports physical forms. It is also helpful if you provide us with the name, address, phone number and fax number of the person who needs this information. Medical summaries and immunization records are released once a year for free. If you are wanting the entire chart released, there is a $25.00 fee for this.

Medication Refills
Prescription refills are handled most efficiently by calling your pharmacy directly to request a refill. If refills remain from when the prescription was written, the pharmacy simply fills your child’s prescription. If there are no remaining refills the pharmacy will contact our office for authorization to fill the prescription. We request that you contact your pharmacy a few days before running out of your child’s prescription.

Our office policy on ADD/ADHD medications is that the child has to be seen by the doctor every three months. At the time of the visit, you can request a 90-day prescription for your child’s medication at no charge. However, if you elect to only get a 30-day prescription, there will be a $10 charge for monthly refills. Please allow 48 hours for these refills.
